shipping. Eddie is married and loves his wife very much. I'm not opposed to playing out other ships pre-Susannah when Eddie is still in New York, but please heed the content warnings below in this case as Eddie would still be a heroin addict. I'm a huge fan of Eddie/Roland and Eddie/Suze/Roland also. Cautiously open to shipping outside of Susannah in games, but this would be highly dependent on circumstance and a slowburn.

fighting & injuring. Sure! Eddie is a "born gunslinger" and a very good shot with a gun, trained by the very best. He's a decent fighter, too, and he can hold his own in many situations, but I know he can be kind of annoying so if you gotta smack him for his cheek just go ahead.

content warning. Eddie is a heroin addict. I usually play him from a canon point where he's no longer actively using, but there may be references to heroin, drug use, drug smuggling, and drug overdose in tags. Eddie also has a quite emotionally abusive older brother with whom he has a complicated relationship and plenty of baggage (hover for spoiler), and his older sister Gloria was hit by a car and killed when Eddie was young. More generally, The Dark Tower is rife with fantasy and real-world violence, and plenty of gore and horror. If you want me to avoid any of these topics when tagging you, or opt-out of tagging entirely for any reason, please leave a comment on my opt-out page here. No hard feelings!

backtagging. Always! I function by backtagging so I more than understand if things get picked up and dropped here and there. Handwaving stuff that drags on for too long will always and forever be an option.

fourthwalling. Eddie is up to date on pop culture through to the late 1980s and will make relevant references in threads. The nature of The Dark Tower is such that all canons are 'real' in certain universes, so Eddie might have knowledge of your character or simply that they are, in his world, fictional. If you would like to avoid this kind of fourthwalling, please let me know here. I'm happy to play fictional-character fourthwalling with Eddie, too, as he eventually finds out that he's a character in a series of books by Stephen King at some point himself, so if your character is a Dark Tower fan, go ahead and have them geek out.
