Eddie is one of the protagonists of Stephen King's Dark Tower series, which is like high fantasy crossed with cowboys. Eddie himself is actually from 'our' world, specifically from New York from the year 1987, where he was a drug-running heroin addict with absolutely no prospects in life before he was dragged into fantasy cowboyland by a grizzled old man hellbent on travelling to the eponymous Tower. Eddie's kind of the comic relief of the squad, always cracking jokes and being a nuisance, but he's got a heart of gold and a pretty good handle on his emotions for a guy from the 80s.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

APPEARANCE Eddie is in his early 20s, average height with dark hair and hazel eyes. Before Mid-World, he had the sickly pallor and bony build of a junkie and only made it to 'cute' by the skin of his teeth, but after travelling in Mid-World he's packed on some muscle and shaken the addiction. He is now officially cute. Congrats, Eddie.

CLOTHING Generally pretty boring functional stuff – jeans, tshirts, a nice jacket, sensible boots. He's not a flashy guy.

DEMEANOR For the most part, Eddie is fairly easygoing. He likes to talk to fill silences. He's quick-witted, always cracking jokes, and is fairly likeable and charismatic even when he was regularly using heroin. On the flipside, he has quite a short temper, can also be quite rude (sometimes accidentally) and tends to speak without thinking, occasionally putting his foot in his mouth in this respect. When he gets angry or indignant, he's quite emotional and very quick to tear up. His brother Henry once said that if he could have one person to have his back in a time of trouble, it would be Eddie, because he could "convince the Devil to set himself on fire" if he had to.

AURAL Extremely strong New York accent. His voice is a little on the nasal side.

SHOOTING Eddie is a very good shot with a gun, having been trained by a bonafide gunslinger. He even has one of Roland's guns, a heavy revolver similar in size and shape to a Colt Walker, although it's not a familiar design for anyone who knows about that kind of thing.
